104 “But the word is very near to you, in your mouth and in your heart, that you may do it.”
Deuteronomy 30:14
The Word of God is very precious and should grow in its attraction to us as the days go by. We should be enamoured with its truth and comfort and all the promises that God makes to His people which are certain and sure. The Word of God should be the nearest thing we possess as we read and learn it by heart so that we can call on it at a moments notice.
God does not hide from us but reveals Himself in His holy Word so that we can know Him more and more and live life in His divine favour. He will not allow us to be disappointed with His Word for it is a sure and certain Word. Nothings can take it ways or detract from it but we love it more and more as we delve deep into its pages and believe it.
It is the sure and certain truth of God through all ages and for all people – no one is left out and people work tirelessly to translate it so that more people can come to read and understand it.
The purpose of the Word of God is so that we will live its truth obediently and with all humility, not our own ideas but the will of God.
Those who follow it are never let down or left out but we can draw near at any time and find our strength and comfort in that holy and beautiful Word. Let us commit into the deep places of our mind and learn it fully and well. It will not disappoint us but be out strength and stay.
